Kate Gosselin pictures Tony Dovolani pictures Dancing with the Stars

Are you one of the people saying Kate Gosselin needs to stop appearing on TV, go out and get a regular job, and focus on raising her kids? If you are, then Kate has a message for you:

“It’s not about an obsession with fame,” Kate Gosselin tells People regarding her decision to join Dancing With The Stars. “It’s about doing what provides for my family. Period.”

She adds, “If I was financially able to provide for eight kids (twins Cara and Mady, 9, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, 5) on my former salary as a nurse, I would do itâ€¦but that’s not possibleâ€¦I cannot rely on the fact that Jon will be there to help support the kids, so I approach it as if I am the sole provider.”

That actually does make sense to me (especially the whole “cannot rely on… Jon” part). What about to you?

These pictures of Kate were taken last night, after her extensions were removed, when she and her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ partner Tony Dovolani went out to dinner. She still has to have the new extensions put in. How do you like her hair short?

And the sextuplets were photographed hanging out at home the day before yesterday.

Kate Gosselin Gears Up For ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Kate Gosselin isn’t just working on her dancing skills as she prepares to compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ She’s also adjusting her look. Her stylist, Ted Gibson, said she’s making some changes to her hair.

“We’re taking them out and we’re not putting them back in until Thursday. So she’ll have short hair for a day,” says Gibson…

“We’re actually doing three different shades of blonde, a caramel, a beige blond and a little bit of a lighter blonde.”

Hmmm… sounds pretty.

Meanwhile, if the pictures are any indication (check out the thumbnails below), Kate’s dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, has won over the Gosselin kids. He was spotted saying good-bye as he left their Pennsylvania home yesterday (remember, ABC installed a dance floor in Kate’s basement so she could praactice there).

These pictures of Kate were taken earlier today; she’s in New York City. It doesn’t look like she’s had her extensions removed yet, does it? Maybe she’s on her way to have that done.
