5 Mar 2010Taylor Swift did a photoshoot and talked to Elle magazine about attention from the media, her fears, and her revealing song lyrics.
Who she thinks is hot:
“Um, well…Taylor Lautner.”
I wonder if they did this interview before or after the two broke up? Either way, it’s nice they kept it in
Is she really “fearless”?
“I overthink everything. I overanalyze everything.”
About media scrutiny:
“I’ve had countless opportunities to do some really bad things. And then people start combing through everything I do trying to find the next mistake and misperception, which leads to more scrutiny. Like, if I go to a bar, even if I’m not drinking, who’s to say that a source isn’t going to say that I was doing something I shouldn’t have been doing? So it’s not only about your own moral compass, but the moral compasses of other people that you don’t know.”
About using material from her romantic relationships for her music:
“I like to categorize the various levels of heartbreak. I’ve only had that happen once. A letdown is worth a few songs. A heartbreak is worth a few albums.”
I wonder if this scares guys off any? You can see more information from Taylor’s Elle interview here.
Brooke Shields sat down with Ladies Home Journal, and she did not hold back.
“I don’t know if you ever do feel balanced. People who say they do are lying,” she says.
Okay then
Brooke admitted to getting Botox but said she’s trying to stay away from plastic surgery.
“I want laser treatment because I’m not a fan of my wrinkles, but I have to find someone with a light touch. I’m scared I’ll end up looking like the Joker.”
She spoke about her first marriage to Andre Agassi.
“With Andre it was like, ‘Please be the adult. Please take care of me.’ And he did.”
What about Andre’s allegations (in his memoir) that Brooke was career obsessed?
[Agassi writes about watching a scene where her character licks Matt LeBlanc’s hand on the set of Friends, Agassi became so incensed that he smashed his Wimbledon trophies.] “Does he mention I spent the next three years replicating those trophies? He doesn’t say that, does he? Of course not. That’ll be in my book!”
On Michael Jackson’s death:
“He thought he was dying already. They were killing him, the people and the press.”
On her mother’s Alzheimers:
“Now my mother lives in the past. She wants to talk about the trip we took to Manila when I was 15 and what Imelda Marcos said to her. I’m like, ‘Mom, how about just today.’”
Brooke admitted to still wanting her mother’s approval:
“I’ll see her and think, She’s going to say my hair’s too dark. She’s going to ask if I’ve gained weight. I might as well be 10. I’m confident in my own mothering, I’ve been making all my own decisions for a long time, but after all these years, I want my mom.”
Brooke admitted she isn’t the most optimistic person.
